My favorite band of all time has just released a new album, I have a blog, it takes like ten seconds to post an mp3...really, it should be a no-brainer: just post the fucking thing, right?
Except I HATE music blogs*, and it's almost impossible not to sound like an mp3 blog when you're, you know, posting an mp3 to a blog. So instead of prepping you with music blog boilerplate about Stereolab's new album or the song I've chosen to post here, I am just going to unceremoniously plop an mp3 file below with no caveats or explanation, except for a link to Andy Battaglia's pretty spot-on (if oddly written) review over at Pitchfork.

*(Obviously, there are exceptions, like for example Fluxblog, which has to my mind really bizarre preferences for generic power-pop and posts a lot of stuff that just sounds like MOR garbage to my ears but is at least overseen by a real writer with a real sensibility; Moistworks, which can be boringishly diaryesque but at least posts righteous oldies and is a worthwhile experiment, and just about any music blog dedicated to LP-to-mp3 conversions because like THAT is a real service and not just a lazy jerkfest.)
